Strengthening the Heart of Your Leadership

Drs. Jodi Detrick, Kent Mankins, and Robert Campbell

The past 3.5 years have created a new lexicon of words to describe major shifts that impact pastors and church leaders. From “The Great Resignation” to “Quiet Quitting,” pastors have experienced stress and trauma at previously unheard of levels. In the midst of it all, how do you keep your equilibrium and focus to strengthen the heart of your leadership? We have compiled a panel to share their stories, listen to you, and respond to your questions. You will leave with some fresh ideas and be encouraged to continue to fulfill your calling.

Best Practices for Safe and Healthy Churches: What You Don’t Know Can Hurt You!

Don Detrick and Caleb Stewart

Jesus drove the money changers out of the temple, showing us that our prayers and our practices need to be in alignment. With churches under scrutiny as never before, it is important for churches to know the best ministry practices that can save your church from needless trauma and expense. Whether your church is large or small, there are things you can do to keep your ministry safe and healthy.

Knowing When to Leave and Leaving Well

Darrel Johnsen and Mitch Ellithorpe

All of us will leave our current ministry assignment. We’ll either walk out or be carried out but we’ll all leave. How do you know when to leave as a lead pastor or an associate and what do we need to know to leave well, for Christ’s sake, the church, and ourselves? This Workshop will give you a greater understanding in knowing when to leave and how to leave well.

Pastoring the LGBTQ Community: Why Both Biblical Position and Posture Matter

Di Beals and Tyler Sollie

Venture Church and Tacoma Life Center actively navigate this level of tension as large churches in the communities they are called to serve, which also include their LGBTQ neighbors. In this workshop, Di Beals and Tyler Sollie will share their church’s stories and the incredible lessons they’ve learned from being called out on their biblical position while loving from their biblical posture.

Things You Need to Know for Your Financial Future

Scott Wynant, Crossmark Wealth Management
& KYLE DANA, AG FINANCIAL SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT | RETIREMENT

Topics discussed include knowing your retirement needs, participating in an employer retirement plan, basic investing principles, and resources to help plan your retirement.
