Here’s what campers and families need to know before arriving at NW Kids Camp, including registration steps, medical details, camp policies, what to bring, and how to send mail.
Kids Camp is open to all students entering 3rd - 7th grade in the upcoming school year.
Contact your local church for a link to register under your church group. For their registration to be considered complete, all campers must complete their Brushfire registration and signed DocuSign (and Lake Retreat if applicable) forms.
Campers will be supervised by a Christian camp staff who desire to lead campers to Christ and help them grow as Christians. A Christian atmosphere will be maintained at all times. All camp and cabin staff are required to complete the online camp staff registration to obtain a criminal background check. We maintain a 1:8 ratio (1 adult to every eight students).
All NWMN Kids Camps are closed camps. To ensure the safety and security of the campers, no visitors will be allowed while camp is in session.
A nurse (medical director) will be present at every camp. All medications will be supervised by the camp nurse, who will receive them all at the time of check-in at camp. The camp does not provide prescription medication. If your camper is presently under medication, please complete the Medical Form and place the original prescription bottle in a bag labeled with the child’s name. Permission is required to dispense over-the-counter medication, and it will not be dispensed unless noted on the Medical Form. Parents will be notified in case of an accident or illness. Please note: if your camper takes daily medications, it is the camper’s responsibility to visit the nurse’s station during their medication’s designated dosage time, and leaders will remind them as well.
Camp facilities contain wheat, gluten, eggs, soy, shellfish, peanuts, tree nuts, and other potential allergens. Please note they are not a peanut-free facility, nor a gluten-free kitchen, and food may be close to or exposed to any of the above-listed allergens.
Our preset menu is served buffet-style in a dining hall. Gluten-free or dairy-free options may not always be available. Dietary needs are best met by the guest attending. Please plan accordingly. We provide refrigeration and microwave for your convenience.
Certified lifeguard(s) will always supervise swimming throughout the duration of camp. Two-piece swimsuits are not allowed.
Snack items, camp T-shirts, and camp merchandise will be available for purchase. Students will turn in their money at the beginning of camp for safekeeping. During camp, they will be able to access their money for purchases and/or mission offerings. Any remaining money will be returned before departure.
